Women's Fly Fishing Clinic

Details: We are super excited to bring back our second annual Women's Fly Fishing Clinic! We have an amazing line up of instructors from all over Southern California to teach the class. The day begins with a fun and easy yoga class designed to fire up those fly fishing muscles followed by classes in casting, entomology, fly tying, conservation, knots, and gear and tackle. The day ends with a lively Pint Night at Kern River Brewing.

Lunch is included in the class.

Please bring a yoga mat if you are attending the yoga class. And bring water shoes as we will be on the river for the casting class.

7:00 am- Check in

7:15-7:45 am- Yoga

8:15-8:45- Intro to Fly Fishing

Rotations

9:45-10:30- Casting

10:45-11:15- Entomology

11:30-12:00- Etiquette and Conservation

12:15-1:15- Lunch + Conversation on safety

1:30-2:00- Fly Tying

2:15-2:45- Gear, Tackle

3:00-3:30- Knots

4:00- Class Ends

7:00- Pint Night

Students wanting to fish with club members during Mentorship Day the following morning, must have a valid California fishing license. Please bring your own fly fishing gear, if you have one, for Mentorship Day.
