Date: February 8-9, 2020
Location: Bishop, CA
Details: The Lower Owens River is one of the top winter fisheries in California! With over 5,000 fish per mile (mostly brown trout), the Lower O always provides the opportunity to catch a few fish or a few dozen fish depending on conditions. Flows during winter are generally at a very wade friendly level to access many of the river’s sweet spots.
Midges and Blue Winged Olives will be the main course on the menu. If we are lucky, we will have a shot at some dry fly action through the day. Detailed fly suggestions will be available prior to the outing.
